WCH Garage Project

The Wyoming Coalition for the Homeless is launching an exciting project to build a new service garage that will dramatically expand the resources available to individuals experiencing homelessness in Cheyenne. This dedicated space will provide showers, laundry, additional bathrooms, a clothing closet with a private dressing area, and a bike repair station to help participants maintain reliable transportation. These services address some of the most immediate barriers people face when trying to rebuild their lives—access to hygiene, clean clothing, and transportation for work and appointments.

By investing in this new garage, our community will help create a space where dignity is restored and opportunity begins again. Each day, individuals who walk through our doors will gain access to the basic tools they need to pursue employment, improve their health, and move toward stable housing. With your support, this project will transform a simple structure into a place of hope, empowerment, and real progress for our neighbors in need.

Building Opportunity:

💙 They Didn’t Just Help… They Saved Our Space 💙

Not long ago, our Day Center was struggling. The floors were worn down, the lighting wasn’t up to code, and the space that so many rely on every day was in desperate need of care.

We knew something had to change—but what happened next was more than a remodel.
It was a community stepping in and saying, “We’ve got you.”

The transformation didn’t come from one place—it came from many hands and big hearts coming together for the Wyoming Coalition for the Homeless Day Center – Cheyenne.

Home Depot stepped in and donated the flooring that became the foundation of this entire project.
Habitat for Humanity helped connect us with the skilled volunteers we needed to make it happen.

Then came the people who rolled up their sleeves and got to work:
Handy Mac (Mark) coordinated it all and donated his time installing flooring.
Garland Construction brought their expertise and installed flooring—completely donated.
The Cheyenne Women’s Civic League made sure we didn’t just look better—but were safer—by funding new lighting and grounding our power.
And when it came time to bring the space back to life…
Laramie County Community College students and Triumph High School stepped in with paint and energy, turning worn walls into something bright and welcoming again.
Moving an entire facility out and back in is no small job—but the Laramie County Community College basketball teams showed up and made it happen.
And through it all, Storage Star made sure we had a place to keep everything safe by donating a storage unit.
What was once a worn-down space is now something we’re proud of again.
Not because of money. Not because of one organization.
But because a community refused to let it fail.
Because of you, our doors open to a safer, brighter, more welcoming place for every person who walks in needing support.
This wasn’t just a remodel.
This was a reminder that when people come together—real change happens.
From the bottom of our hearts… thank you.
